Search Engine Optimization and Link Building Services
Today when people talk about Search Engine Optimization, they also refer to a very important aspect of it, which is link building. There are different aspects, types, and limitations of Link Building, all discussed in this article.
Types of Link Building: This factor would be better understood when we use examples to explain it i.e. examples of Site A, Site B and Site C.
1.One Way Linking: this is a type of link building where a particular website links to another website without the second website linking back to the first one. Example – Site A links to Site B. One of the proven ways to generate one way links is through directory submissions. You may opt to submit your website in different directories which are available such as Dmoz which is free to submit or Yahoo Directory which is paid, among many other directories out there.
Limitations of One-Way Linking
The commonest restrictions of one-way linking are that the process is very time consuming and the confirmation period of getting listed in the Directories is indefinite.
2. Two Way Linking: Otherwise known as Reciprocal Linking, it’s among the most effective and fast ways to develop quality incoming links to your website. According to the latest Google Semantic Indexing, Two Way Linking is the practice of exchanging links between 2 websites that share the same theme. For Example, Site A links to Site B and in return Site B links back to Site A.
In order to create effective reciprocal links, it’s advisable to contact theme based websites and request them to exchange their link with your website. Request any themed based websites that you think may be in the same Parameters with your website theme. Since Reciprocal Linking is among the fastest and most effective methods of generating incoming traffic to your website, there are no known limitations as of now.
3.Three Way Linking: As the name may suggest, it involves both One-Way and Reciprocal Linking hence can be referred to as the best way of getting One-Way links towards your website. For example, Site A links to Website B, and instead of Site B linking Back to you as in the case of Reciprocal Linking, Site B links to Site C.
That said, before you decide to create links, there are three main things that you have to look at:
1.The Page Rank of the website that your website’s link has been placed.
2.Whether the page that your link has been put is already indexed in the Major Search Engines
3.Arguably the most important factor in link building is the theme of the website you wish to link to. For example, if your website is dealing with Web Design, it would be pointless to exchange links with a website that deals with gifts or shoes, look for websites on the same theme as yours, in this case related to Web stuff.
